Cuarteto Casals returns to lead the Second Edition of the International String Quartet Academy

Cuarteto Casals returns this month to Vic, Catalonia, to lead the Second Edition of the International String Quartet Academy from 18-22 July. The quartet will teach five young quartets selected from around the world: Abel (South Korea), Becquer (Madrid), Caellum  (Catalonia), Aristos (Netherlands) as well as the Gerhard Quartet (Catalonia), which will in turn work with student ensembles in Vic. This year's edition will focus on the six quartets dedicated by Mozart to his mentor, Franz Joseph Haydn and will conclude with two concerts in which all six quartets will appear, including Cuarteto Casals performing Mozart's famous 'Hunt Quartet'.
