Cuarteto Casals 20th Anniversary: The Complete Beethoven Quartets

After completing its first Beethoven cycle at the Schubertíade in Vilabertran in August, Cuarteto Casals' now begins its six-concert series in Wigmore Hall (London), Philharmonie (Berlin), the Gulbenkian Foundation (Lisbon), L'Auditori (Barcelona) and the Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi (Turin). Further cycles in 2019 will bring the quartet to Konzerthaus (Vienna), Musikgebouw (Amsterdam),  Auditorio Nacional (Madrid) and Suntory Hall (Tokyo). Each of the six Beethoven programs will also include a world premiere, commissioned for the quartet to reflect upon and complement Beethoven's works. Cuarteto Casals has also begun its recording of the complete Beethoven quartets, to be released by Harmonia Mundi in three box sets in 2018, 2019 and 2020 to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth.
